You’ll go through the day in teams, led by fun and
energetic counselors with lots of training in diabetes.
Morning and afternoon snacks and lunch will be served.
A doctor specializing in diabetes will be on site the
entire day. Celebrity guest speakers are planned, and
you’ll get tons of cool gear to take home. (Not
just diabetes stuff!) Best of all, you’ll make new
friends and learn more about just what you’re capable
of.

FREE AT CSULB BUT IN A SEPARATE AREA
Therapists and a diabetes doctor lead an all-new, parents-only session from 2:00 to 5:30 p.m. We’ll also have a nutritionist and gourmet chef offering a great cooking demo, and our ADA advocate will educate parents about their children’s rights in school. Parents will connect with other parents and get to voice concerns about their children’s disease, learn how to cope, and discover lots more valuable tools to help them become a vital partner in their child’s diabetes. ¡En español tambien!

Kids Rock The World is a program of the American Diabetes Association. All required insurance,
medical and safety procedures are in place to assure a
safe and successful day for our participants and staff.
There is absolutely no cost to the teens or to their families.
Once our participants are selected, an orientation will
be scheduled for parents and teens to learn more about
this remarkable day.
